Onyria Palmares Golf in 26th in the ranking of Golf World

Since opening in June 2011, the golf course of Palmares has ascended directly to 26th place in the international ranking of the best golf courses in Europe. The Top 100 Golf Courses in Continental Europe are chosen and rated by specialist journalists. The process of selection is done every two years by Golf World Magazine. The Onyria Palmares course, situated between Lagos and Alvor and designed by American architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., presents "a mixture of different environments with emphasis on the authentic links holes - something unique in the Algarve", says the group information center, Onyria. The center also states that the field provides "a unique gaming experience" resulting from multiple combinations through its three 9-hole rounds each, namely Lagos, Alvor and Praia.
