Cruise the Tejo

Lisbon boat and ferry company Transtejo has opened its cruise operation on the River Tejo in Lisbon for the 2010 tourist season. Running until Sunday the 31st of October, two daily cruises depart from and return to the main boat terminals in Praça do Commercio/ Terreiro do Paço in Lisbon.A ticket is 20 euros (10 euros for kids and senior citizens), the Tejo cruise leaves from Terreiro do Paço and lasts for two and a half hours. For a one-hour duration, the Discoveries cruise costs just 15 euros (7.5 euros) and departs from Cais do Sodré. Both cruises include free water and other soft drinks on-board, along with the services of a multi-lingual staff specially trained to provide a wide range of tourist information for passengers.
