Record Year at Lisbon’s Oceanarium

Lisbon’s Oceanarium had its best year ever in 2008, earning over €1.3 million. Having attracted 1,019,684 visitors last year, the Oceanarium has proved itself as a sustainable business by registering record profits in 2008, as well as serving as an educational tool for environmental studies. located in Lisbon’s Expo Park, its environment education programs have played a major role in the development of the Oceanarium as last year it brought in 50,000 students, making it the country’s biggest environment education program. Next door, the Atlântico Pavilion saw very positive figures for last year as well, reflecting its position as a top venue for hosting cultural events and providing excellent services. Last year, more than 418,000 people went to more than 140 events at the Pavilhão Atlântico.
