Sunday, 14 August 2011 00:00
Turismo de Portugal is off to promote its new tourism route, “Discovering the Baroque in Portugal.” The route aims to “show visitors national examples of this artistic style,” through 44 monuments, sites and relics. The leaflet is available in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French, and is being distributed at tourism kiosks across the country. Click here to download the brochure.
On the official website for Portugal as a tourist destination, www.visitportugal.com, four different courses illustrate the Portuguese “golden age”: “In Search of Treasure” (Porto and the North), “Days of Pageantry and Splendor” (Center), “A Golden Walk” (Lisbon) and “Hidden Jewels” (Alentejo, Algarve, Açores and Madeira).
