The  Parque Vidago will have a soft-reopening in July 2010, followed by its official dedication on Wednesday October 6th -  exactly 100 years to the day since the original Vidago Palace Hotel opened. The majority of the €50 million project will be fully operational this summer, except for the extra nine holes being added to the golf course. The heart of the project is the redone Vidago Palace Hotel, a five-star property with 70 rooms and suites restyled by Portuguese architect, Álvaro Siza Vieira. Besides the golf course being increased from 9 to 18 holes (at a cost of €7 million), other new features at Parque Vidago include a Portuguese restaurant, four bars, conference space for up to 260 and a spa with indoor and outdoor swimming pools and 20 treatment rooms.
