Tall Ships in Lisbon 2012

From the 19^th to the 22^nd of July 2012, Lisbon will host the Tall Ships fleet and visitors from around the world at a unique maritime event, full of fun and entertainment! Lisbon will play host to 60 Tall Ships and 5,000 crewmembers representing 49 countries around the world. The event “The Tall Ships Races 2012 Lisbon” will have the old part of Lisbon as a backdrop. The North Side of the Tejo River, between Santa Apolónia and Terreiro do Paço, will see one million visitors that are expected to visit the Tall Ships, attend concerts with a unique surrounding and enjoy many other activities that are being planned by the organization. The highest moment of “The Tall Ships Races 2012 Lisbon” happens in July 22^nd, when the 60 Tall Ships will sail down the Tejo River before heading back to the open sea.
