Tourists who visit the city of Lisbon will enjoy a new cultural center in the East side of Terreiro do Paço, the main square of the Portuguese capital. The revitalization of the site, which is an investment of ten million euros, aims to make parts of downtown and the Terreiro do Paço increasingly attractive places for tourists. In an area of approximately 5,000 square meters, are new restaurants, a nightclub, a pub and several shops.
The Beer Museum, for example, serves drinks and snacks and has a historic background related to the brewing industry and beer consumption in Portugal. It explains the brewing cycle, from the raw materials to the final product (including tastings).
Centre Lisbon Story - Memories of the City, a cultural space that recreates the past of the Portuguese capital, will interactively offer the main facts and historical events in the area of downtown and the Terreiro do Paço in September.
