Terceira Golf Club renovation to be completed in 2008

The golf club on the island of Terceira began 50 years ago, catering to American service men on the NATPO airbase. Now, with 18 holes, and extensive improvement, the course will reopen in early 2008 with about 2.5 million euros in improvements. The clubhouse is all remodeled, and course has improved. Founded in 1954, this private club is open to the public, and has more than 1,000 members. http://www.terceiragolf.com
