Herb festival returns to Alvito

The town of Alvito, north of Beja, will holds on February 2009 its 4th herb festival, called  “As Ervas da Baronia,” with area restaurants focusing their cuisines on the fresh herbs in season and growing locally. Participating restaurants include A Varanda, O Américo, O Buraco da Zorra and O Feio, In nearby Vila da Baronia, restaurants include A Avenida, Bica Nova, O Camões and O Casão.
