The Herdade do Esporão in Reguengos Monsaraz, after more than three years of construction has a wine restaurant aimed at enthusiasts of wine culture and Alentejo cuisine to strengthen the connection to the roots of the Alentejo and Portugal.
With a couple of wines and olive oils of Esporão, gastronomy is another cornerstone of the new wine restaurant. The dishes are based on the richness of Alentejo cuisine and entails creative recipes that recreate the memory of a culture rich in flavors and aromas. According to the chef Miguel Vaz "this is a journey to the roots of the region and the flavors of yesteryear, through the use of products from our garden."
The intervention sought to focus on wine tourism and enhance the educational and recreational component. It made a significant investment in the expansion of architectural spaces, created three new gardens that connect wineries and vineyards, and built a new restaurant, with twice the capacity of the former, a multipurpose room with capacity for 110 people, a wine bar and a large store. The kitchen has been completely revamped, according to the highest standards of quality and functionality.
