The Casa Vela is a new "guest house" in Cascais, and each guest receives a key to open the door. Breakfast does not have a set time and all are served at the bar on what they want. So, you feel at home. Since the beginning of September the new Casa Vela has given a new lodging option to this charming town. A few minutes by foot is the Museum Paula Rego, the Marina and beaches of Cascais or the Equestrian Center. The Casa Vela was a small palace – now with a restored  interior, revitalized gardens,  all with a sophisticated and unique ambiance. There are 3,500 square meters of perfectly manicured gardens, waterfalls and lakes. All of the 15 rooms and suites are named after the common theme - The 16th Century Portuguese Exploration and the Spices brought by the Portuguese sailors from the Far East. The names range from Timor, Goa, Mozambique, Macau to Cinnamon, Pepper and Curry. They are all Individually styled and decorated with more than a dash of simplicity and grace, inviting you to a homely feel.
