Carristur, in partnership with Arriva, officially launched a new tour circuit of Guimarães. The circuit, in a convertible mini bus, passes the main monuments of the European Capital of Culture 2012, from the Toural Square, Largo República do Brasil, through the Cable Car, the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança and the Castle of Guimarães. Operating Tuesday to Sunday and lasting approximately 45 minutes, the circuit has nine daily departures from Alameda de São Dâmaso. Working as a “hop-on, hop-off” system, the bus allows exit and entrance at any stop, as well as a 24 hours validity of the ticket. Rates are ten euros for adults, five euros for children from four to 12 years, and 7.5 euros for groups of more than four people. There will be a guide-interpreter who speaks three languages (Portuguese, Spanish and English) and is versed in history, curiosities and details that make Guimarães one of the most special places in Portugal.
