Hotel Porto Ribeira opened in March 2012 in the historic center of Porto, and is the result of comprehensive rehabilitation of five National Landmark listed buildings in Ribeira, distinguished as World Heritage. It is a four-star hotel in the best of locations, with stunning views of the Douro River. There is a wide range of services, and guests can enjoy the new Forno Velho restaurant, with cooking as you watch.
PortoSense Apartments, opened in April 2012, are located in the heart of Porto’s Ribeira. They are installed in a restored building, including a magnificent eighteenth-century fountain, and decorated with Portugal’s Coat of Arms. They are modern, practical and well equipped for a stay.
Tattva Design Hostel consists of two beautiful buildings classified as "World Heritage." They have been totally recovered and refurbished to make the largest hostel in Porto, with breathtaking views on the higher floors. With 16 rooms and a capacity of 116 people in total (female dorms, mixed dorms and double rooms), Tattva provides a unique experience in terms of comfort.
Cervejaria da Avenida, opened in November 2011, it maintains the concept of the traditional pubs of Porto, with francesinhas highlighted in the menu, and a contemporary style. The brewery occupies a building by architect Eduardo Souto Moura. Markedly contemporary style it is decorated in a sober and cosmopolitan look, while natural light abounds in the spacious living room with large windows.
Trásca -Enjoy snacks in a tavern that is both “castiço” and modern, with granite walls and tile decoration. Besides the sandwiches (pressed and toasted), indulge in Portuguese delicacies and more. House specialties include traditional poncha, passion fruit, tangerine, fisherman, absinthe, black vodka, whiskey and niquita. Drinks are served with spicy peanuts and lupini beans Madeira style! Port Calling, opened in February 2012, is a store specializing in vinyl records in downtown Porto. The store's name honors the album "London Calling" by the Clash.
