A new marina in northern Portugal is keeping recreational boaters afloat. First Waters, the developers of the Douro Marina, boast the biggest nautical recreation infrastructure between Cascais and Galiza. “It will serve boaters traveling along the west coast, offering them high-quality services during their trip,” said José Sampaio, First Waters' business director. The first phase of construction has been completed, bringing 300 berths for boats up to 20 meters in length, as well as basic client support for passing boaters. Local Sailing Academy is also starting its sailing classes, including classes for children in March. In July, the public can expect to see a shopping area added to the mix.
